Membrane Stripped

My husband (we’re both in the Navy) got told today he was going out to sea tomorrow if I didn’t give birth to baby girl by tomorrow or have an induction date. I’m 39 + 3 weeks, literally due on Saturday....I know mission always come first but considering they said the only way he could be kept behind was to have an induction date. I called my midwife balling my eyes out bc God forbid I went into labor and he wasn’t here, we have a 17 month old and I wouldn’t be able to do this all by myself. We have no family here. So she had me come in today and she stripped my membrane and gave me an induction date for Thursday at 6am 🙌🏽👏🏽 So we got a letter, and sent it to his chain of command, and hopefully we get the green light for him to stay. I’d be so devastated if he had to go. Also I’m 3-4cm dilated and I had no idea till today. Fingers crossed she comes on her own. I’m just glad we finally have an induction date. Has anyone had success from a membrane sweep ?
