Anyone else ever been through this situation? Vbac or csection

Sorry if this is alittle lengthy. I have a question for anyone who may be or have been through this same situation. I had a csection(13 years ago), a vaginal delivery of my daughter at 6 months stillborn in 2017, and also a successful vbac in may if last year. With that being said this will technically be my 4th delivery and I'm currently 28/4days weeks pregnant(the office I go to has multiple ob doctors in it). 
At my 28 week appointment yesterday the ob I seen was pushy, rushed me through the appointment and only asked if i planned on getting my tubes tied after this baby(I've never brought this up before) and automatically asked me to be scheduled for a csection, then I politely asked if I could try for a vbac again like in my last pregnancy. She then told me that we'll see and that I need to go ahead a schedule a day for csection incase. So today the hospital just called me to schedule my csection for 39 weeks. Does this mean I wont be able to try for my vbac if they're expecting a csection at the hospital? The other ob doctor handled my last vbac so differently and I plan on bringing this up at my next appointment but thought I'd see if anyone else may have been through the same situation before.

You ladies are completely right, after reading your comments I should of spoke up more. I was trying to be considerate giving the circumstances were all under with this virus but the more I thought about the more I realized she was just being rude and pushy. I went a head and called this morning and spoke with the nurse to ask about my glucose test results so I brought it up to her about them calling to schedule the csection. She said the Dr stated in the notes in my chart that I was required to have a csection since having a previous one. I had to tell her that was 13 yrs ago and just had a successful vbac last year. She then told me to discuss it with a different doctor at another appointment. It's so rude how some Doctors can literally just disregard anything you communicate to them 😑 Anyways, thank you ladies for the advice and support!

Have not been through that, but you need to advocate for yourself. If you want to try for a VBAC, I’d cancel the c-section because they will likely not even let you try. Medical staff is really feeling overwhelmed. It’s our job to advocate for our needs and desires

Second kid, going for vbac. Was told I should be good to go if I go into natural labor before 39 weeks but that he wouldn’t induce me and he’d schedule a csection at 39 weeks to prevent uterine rupture. I’m guessing it’s just a liability thing. But I think it’s strange their pushing to go ahead and schedule one this far out....but like the other person said, be an advocate for yourself. Push that you are doing a vbac. Also see if you can request to not see that doctor again.

A friend of mine had an emergency c section with her first, a little over a year later she had a successful vbac, and then went on to have two more children born naturally after that, she’s got 4 under 6 and all 4 of her boys are completely healthy, you need to tell the drs what you want, if they don’t listen get a new dr, one that will listen to you and your wishes

Some OB's, even in the same office are very scared of the litigious risk of vbacs and will push for a c-section regardless.  With my 3rd child and second VBAC, I had an appointment with an OB who insisted I schedule a c-section.  I have major PTSD from my first (won't get into details now, but it was an ordeal) and so I was strong enough to tell him NO.  I don't go into full labor on my own, so I have to be induced with pitocin.  Of course docs hate that when you add previous c-section to the mix.  But I was firm and during labor ended up with a doctor who grudgingly allowed me to do it.  I kid you not 2 hours into low dose of pitocin and my midwife and I delivered a healthy baby boy.  Thankfully with that in my record with the same OB group, they haven't yet mentioned c-section.  If they do, I will be just as firm.  I think you may need to do the same thing.  Granted, I don't know your history so there could be a reason they are advocating a c-section, but my guess is it's more to protect them than you. Unfortunate as that seem.
