Birthday parties?

Hey so is everyone still planning 1st birthdays? I honestly don’t know if it will even be safe by July. So idk if I should even plan a party or just wait to see what happens until last minute & plan a smaller party. Obviously I’m not going to have a big party if we’re still in shelter in place. But I’m just wondering if you guys are still planning as if it will be back to normal by then or if you gave up on big birthday ideas?

I’m pretty sure china’s lockdown is coming to an end, so if we expect a similar time frame then we should be okay, right? 
We’re only planning a small get together anyways - close family and friends over for a BBQ and then a day trip for just the 3 of us either the day before or after that.

Just a family get together, but it’s all pending the birth of my nephew who’s due date is a day after baby boys first birthday!

We have tickets to see her favourite tv programme live on stage on the 29th June. I'm just waiting for the email to tell me its been cancelled, as I know it will be 😥. We weren't going to have a big party but now if it's safe and the world is open I'm going to throw the biggest party I can at short notice. Her birthday is on the 16th so I'm cautiously hopeful we can do something 🤞🏻

We are canceling ours as, New Zealand is currently on lockdown due to COVID-19 and we don’t know if it will be lifted or clear by July. And basically don’t want to risk it

Haven't decided yet. Playing it by ear. Thankfully my son was born on the 31st, so hopefully if the whole quarantine situation is done by July I'll still have time to put something together. But I will postpone the big extended family party as needed and just celebrate it at home, just us, if his actual birthday happens under quarantine.

Nope. We were going to do a decent sized one, about 50 people. We already had a decent amount planned. I woulsnt say we were going all out but we did have a budget of about $2000. Were not doing it anymore and will instead just do a small 10 person immediate family party instead.
Ours was a zoo theme with her favorite animals. Decor, food, drinks, etc, different for each room in our house. Well just save it for her 2nd birthday instead.
