Covid-19 @ 21 weeks pregnant
Hello ladies! So as of today, March 26, the US has surpassed China in the number of covid-19 cases. My county issued a stay-at-home order 2 days ago, with an extensive list of “essential” businesses, including the one I work at (a car dealership 🙄). I told my boss that I would be staying home for the duration of the order because I am 21 weeks pregnant and I’m not about to put my baby or my 6 and 2 year old nieces (who live with me) at risk of getting sick, especially since I don’t believe that car dealerships (we don’t even have a parts/service department) are essential. The stay-at-home order is to lay until next Friday. I’ve been at home for 2 days now, and honestly it’s been a long time since I’ve felt this stress-free. Let’s just say I have a lot of responsibilities at work, and I wasn’t planning on returning after my baby is born. But I’m thinking with all that’s going on, I wish I didn’t have to return at all for the rest of my pregnancy. I don’t think this virus is going away any time soon. My question to you ladies is, have any of y’all’s OB-GYNs recommended that you not work anymore because of potential contact with the virus? I’m hoping mine will do this.
