Pregnancy questions

My husband and I recently decided to start trying for our first. I knew last month wouldn’t take, cuz it was really close to the end of my cycle. This month, I am 6 days late, experiencing light cramping. We will be testing tomorrow (gave myself a week window, even though I’m normally on time). Whether or not it’s positive, I was wondering if anyone ever experienced light cramping the first few weeks? We’re excited and nervous and extremely inexperienced and would like to hear about your experience.
