Sex??

Question

How soon after a C section did you have sex? I know they say 6 weeks, but a lot of people do it before then. Just curious.

My husband wanted to give me plenty time to heal, I also bled for a long time so we waited a few months until bleeding had stopped and I could at least get in and out of bed without extreme pain. He said if we could abstain when we were courting  we could manage a few months to heal without. It wasn't easy but we used the time to pray for our new baby. Looking back it was quite lovely he put his own needs aside and had this care for me.

8 weeks. 6 weeks to heal, 2 weeks for BC to kick in because I was not even playing with the idea of having another baby after what I had just gone through.

I had sex 4 weeks after my c-section but I was no longer bleeding and felt up to it. They say you should wait till you finish bleeding as your cervix is still open while you bleed and can introduce infection more easily but everyone is different. You know your own body xx

I waited 4 months because I was still in pain I had complications during my procedure I had a lot of healing to do on the inside and outside.

I mean, depends how you feel and what your body is doing. I bled after my c section. It let up, but started again right at the 6 week mark. 
I was in too much soreness pain to even think about the thought of sex, but I was also so hormonal I wanted to jump my mans bones every second I could. We did it sooner than 6 weeks, and I say just wait the full 6 weeks. You won’t enjoy the sex like normal bc of the tiptoeing around the pain of having yourself cut open
