Fertility test

My husband and I have been trying for a baby for 16 months now. 7 months ago I was raped by a colleague which resulted in pregnancy, I lost the baby at 6 weeks. But after this happened, I know now that I am fertile. So I asked my husband if he can get checked out so we know if it’s not something to do with him. He said he will but he’s freaking out as if I asked him to shove a watermelon up his bum 🙄 does anyone else have this issue? And if anyone’s husband/partner was checked, can you tell me how they did it?
