VERY uncomfortable cramps normal??

I've been having strange cramping lately. My period is due on the 2nd and this cramping hasn't stopped since ovulation on the 19th. Now mind you, I only started cramping during my periods after my miscarriages (last one in Oct), but NEVER have I had anything outside of my period. And I know what my period cramps feel like at this point and it only comes the night before I get my period. These are definitely not period cramps. Is this a thing that can come with early pregnancy or something? Like today it's so uncomfortable that I'm trying to go to sleep and really can't. And I fear taking melatonin incase I am pregnant this cycle, so I'm screwed. 😭 I just need some help explaining this. Cuz this is definitely throwing me off.
