Difficulty conceiving, what does your doctor say?

My doctor told me I'm overweight, thats why I can't conceive.. its so frustrating..They've ran so many tests and I'm perfectly fine, no pcos, no thyroid issues, nothing. All they told me the last time I went in was I'm overweight. And I need to lose weight. What have they told you??

Well, frankly being overweight can make pregnancy difficult because it can mess with your ovulation and make it more irregular.
I have PCOS and am overweight myself. My midwife also encouraged me to get down to a healthy weight to make it easier, but said I could still get pregnant since I was still ovulating, just irregularly.
I do naturally ovulate more regularly when I’m at a healthy weight, but I’ve also found taking these has helped despite currently being overweight:

That is all they told me as well. My normal cycle stopped and I started having pain in my abdomen. They didn't even do tests other than blood, just said I needed to lose 30 lbs and come back if the pain got worse. 6 months later I had lost 30 lbs, the pain got worse and I still didn't have a period. Turns out I had appendicitis and was rushed in for surgery immediately.
Also turns out that my cycle wasn't the problem that whole time they blamed my weight. My husband had a low sperm count, severely low where we have to do ivf. They wasted a year of my life blaming and shaming me for my weight and ignoring the real issues.

My doctor never told me my weight is an issue. I'm honestly surprised she didn't mention it. But she put me on clomid. I had my first round this cycle.
