Should I stop Daycare due to convid 19??
I am a home daycare provider. I normally care for no more than 4-5 kids at a time. I just retired back from maternity leave and I’m only watching 1 daycare child at the moment. toddlers touch everything and constantly put toys in their mouths. Most of them don’t yet understand how to sneeze or cough into a sleeve. Though it is unclear how much children spread Coronavirus I’m a bit nervous that my almost 3 month old will get sick. The one toddler I’m watching currently has a runny nose and cough and sneezes and picks his nose. I’ve seen him wipe his nose on my carpet as well as his hand. I’m constantly washing his hands and mine the entire day. I’ve already decided not to accept any other children until this virus dies down. The toddler had 4 Teenage sister that hang out all day at home with friends and don’t practice social distancing and this is not okay to me....I’m considering just closing my home daycare for a month or so. Do you guys think it’s best to close or maybe just the one kid is okay. I just don’t know what to do.
