glucose test

i am 26 weeks and 4 days(: i went in for my glucose test this morning and my oh my was it a horrible experience for me.

i took a sip of the drink, it was orange, it wasn’t as bad as i thought it was. i could definitely taste the sugar though. immediately after i drank the whole bottle, i felt so sick. thankfully i held it together. i got my blood drawn but after that, i felt physically beat up. i felt like i was going to vomit, i could barely keep my eyes open, i got a major headache, i felt like i was going to pass out. thankfully my husband was there to help me. i couldn’t even make it home, i had to stop at my moms, which is 12 minutes away from my house, to vomit. i still feel horrible. i tried to do the jelly bean method for the test but my doctor denied it. now i’m wishing i fought for it a little more /:

has anyone else had a bad experience with this? ):
