What are you doing for Easter?

I feel like this is just going to end up being like any other day at our house and I’m sad about it.  No church.  No egg hunt at grandma’s house.  No showing off my beautiful boy to family that hasn’t seen him for a while.  I need to make some plans for at home.  
What are you guys doing.  I have a 7 month old baby boy so he won’t know the difference but would be fun to plan something for my teen daughters ❤️

We’re going to tie dye some clothes!! There’s a little set on amazon I bought and just some white shirts and sweatpants on there as well!

We had planned a cpl months ago to host as we usually do for Easter 😢 I sent out actual cute invites and everything. We host because it’s warm here and we have a pool so after lunch and egg hunt all the kids swim. It’s been all of mine and my husband’s extended families mixed together which is amazing and I looked forward to it again. This year we were doing a casual unconventional meal of taco bar and margaritas. Anyway we’re cancelling now because it would’ve been over thirty ppl and we have two teens at home and a four month old plus our folks are over sixty so I think too risky for ppl. We decided even if we tried to proceed somehow probably all guests would not come so no point. We’ll watch church on tv and swim just us five here. No egg hunt as big kids don’t care about it and baby doesn’t know any different. Disappointed to say the least. We’re telling ppl we’ll tentatively plan to host Fourth of July party here if things are back to normal then.

We’re gonna dye some eggs, decorate some cookies, they will still get an Easter basket and we will hide eggs here. I also plan on making an Easter lunch for us to eat together, and hopefully just make the best of a crap situation. We’ve never missed church on Easter and never missed celebrating with family, so it’s definitely less than ideal.

I usually do a little hunt for the baskets and then the eggs.. normally the whole family is here so it will be pretty empty but I’ll still do the normal.. I use cotton balls and something white I can find like flour and make “bunny trails” to the baskets.. but your little is to young so maybe do a photo shoot???

I plan on getting a couple more bags of candy and setting up our own little egg hunt for our 3 year old in our yard. We normally host Easter, but obviously this year is out.  I already have both baskets ready to go. It is my 3 month old’s first Easter and he won’t have all the fun family photos like big brother has.  The poor kid missed out on a decent first Christmas (we had not been discharged from the hospital yet) and now Easter.  I keep saying when he turns one we will start counting first Christmas and first Easter haha.  I still want to do a ham or something for dinner.
