Maca root with Endometriosis

Elizabeth

Hi! 30 y/o TTC for 5 years now. Have any of you used maca root to balance your hormones for endometriosis? It seems to me it goes two ways, either really well or quite poorly. I took maca root for 30+ days and now my period is just as painful, but instead of going through a box of super tampons and having a 5 day cycle, I am barely putting a dent in my tampon box and my cycle is so light and only 3 days long now, which I don’t understand because I am in the same amount of pain, if not more. I have since stopped taking Maca root, but was curious if anyone else has had this experience with it? I’m terrified of going into peri menopause due to endometriosis. I’m well versed in fertility supplements, herbalism, etc, and I truly thought starting out with a very low dose of maca would help balance my hormones, while increasing my libido, because it is non existent at this point. It is soooo frustrating and taking a toll, for me, for my fiancé, and for our TTC journey in general. I had a miscarriage the day after Mother’s Day last year, 5/13/19 👼🏻 after I had just entered my second trimester, celebrated my first Mother’s Day, and began to tell people we were finally expecting. I’m just trying to see how many other women have had this experience with Maca before. Blessed be and baby dust to all 💚🙏🏻✨👶
