Baby shakes her head???

My 5 month old shakes her head side to side while she’s asleep. I hate it so much because she does it super fast. Is this normal???

It's very normal. It mimics being rocked and helps them fall asleep. My son did it when he was little. Still does every so often.

Oh my gosh! My son used to do it all the time! I thought there was something wrong with him! Lol. He’s almost 9 months old now and he hasn’t done it in a while.

My little girl did this all the time, she’s 9 months old now and still does it when she’s really tired 🙂 x

This is totally normal. It’s just soothing to her and it helps her go to sleep. My son did that too and so did his father when he was a baby.

Yes mine has been doing this since moving to his crib (4.5 months old). I’ll see him doing it on the monitor and think oh crap he’s waking up, but he doesn’t. Relieved to read some of the other comments!
