Side effect?

Hey guys.I recently (about 2 - 3 weeks ago) switch birth control pills. Before I was taking Portia and was switched to Apri. It was fine for about a week and then I had some light spotting for like 5 days. Since the spotting stopped, (bare with me I don't know the anatomy,) the space around my vaginal opening, specifically above it, has been itchy and irritated. I just had my yearly exam, which is when my pills were switched, and I'm clean for STIs. I haven't had sex since before then (quarantine.) I was just wondering if this could be a side effect of switching pills or maybe a yeast infection? I've never had one before but I googled it and maybe? Any advice? Thanks ladies!
