Turning 30 little later this year and I have NEVER heard this term in my life!!!! This is too funny. I did stupid shit growing up specially sex related stupid shit but this is pretty darn stupid. I can see how it's fun and tempting but still stupid. I would recommend a condom all day every day. I'm assuming the goal of to see who can go the longest without "pumping" soooooo eventually there will be actual sex and it REALLY sucks to start the sex and have to stop mid sex to put a condom on. 
Dont get me wrong have fun why not? Just protect yourself if you're gonna have sex and arent ready for a potential baby or a STD.

If he’s going to put his penis anywhere near or inside your vagina, then I highly recommend the condom. On a side note, if you aren’t fully ready to have sex, I would not try this. That’s how I ended up losing my virginity and getting pregnant at 18, with a condom every time. People more commonly refer to this as “just the tip” I believe. Be careful!
