Career change or going back to school in 30s

CiCi

Hello all! I could really use some advice. I’ll give a little back story. I have a b.s. degree in business administration from a well known big ten school. Upon graduation, I worked 6 1/2 years in Human Resources mainly in recruiting. I had a great career and was respected amongst my hiring managers and peers; however, I hated recruiting and tried for quite a few years to find opportunities outside of recruiting more in a generalist capacity. Everyone always seemed to see me as a recruiter though. I got married and moved out of state and we started having children. I have been a stay at home mom for 5 1/2 years. I am expecting our third and last child in August. I absolutely love being a stay at home mom. I know I won’t want to return to the professional world for quite a few more years but I have (again) gotten a strong desire to start looking at my options. I know I don’t want to return to recruiting and I am pretty sure I don’t want to be in Human Resources either. I have thought about going back to school to become a nurse. I don’t know why I have a particular interest in nursing but it’s there. I am scared I won’t be able to pass the tough sciences required. I did work as an admin for 5 yrs in an outpatient psychiatric clinic back in college and high school and enjoyed it. I will turn 35yrs in October...I am just feeling like it will be impossible to start over or go back to school. I could really use some advice on others experiences changing career fields and if it’s worth it. Thank you so much!
