Sad but grateful #thankscorona

Today we had our last ultrasound. We had to do a growth one because they were worried my my uterus wouldn't be big enough and the baby might be at risk for preterm labor. My husband was excited because he had missed one ultrasound due to work but it was the anatomy one so he missed seeing the whole baby in detail. Today we showed up to the hospital and they turned him away because of Corona. I'll never forget seeing him walking away with his mask on, head down, shoulders slumped, to go sit in the car and wait. I cried in the waiting room and I know he cried on his way back to his car. I understand we all have a responsibility to slow the spread, but it breaks my heart that he missed out on this on top of the baby shower because of this virus. I hope that it slows down soon because every couple and family deserves to enjoy this time and feel a little bit of normalcy when it comes to being excited about their baby.
