Could anyone help me please?

I have an 18 month old son who still sleeps in his crib. For the last couple of weeks he keeps kicking his crib AGGRESSIVELY to the point where it’s driving me to tears because he wakes up at night and does it for hours! And it’s so freaking loud. I have elderly neighbours also which I’m sure they can hear it too. Has anyone any tips on how to stop it? I’ve tried bumpers to soften it but he finds somewhere else to kick then and I’ve tried a grow bag and he can still kick with it on. What should I do? 😩
