Being induced?

Question

I’m being induced on Thursday April 16th, I’ve never been induced before can someone tell me their experiences and how it went for you? I’m nervous, thanks!

I’ve been induced twice and both were extremely different. 
The first, nothing had happened naturally beforehand. It took 50 hrs and every trick they have but it wasn’t that painful (with an epidural). 
The second time I had had contractions for a few days before and had some dilation. It was much quicker, 23 hrs. I only pushed for 15 minutes but it hurt like hell (even with an epidural again). 
I guess my advice is to be open minded and just stay focused on holding your baby when it’s all over. It could be quick. Could take longer. Either way it will be worth it!

I was induced through both labors. My first at 21 with a boy. Went to 43 weeks. Was normal, had to ge the epidural though as he was stuck in my birth canal. Otherwise, easy delivery and the cramps were only in my back.
2and one was at 26 with my daughter, had her at 38wk5days. They went earlier this time around to avoid the baby getting stuck again. (I make big babies) but otherwise, had similar pains except with this one I also had front period cramps that were so painful I had to get the epidural. 
They do say getting induced ups the pain with contractions, but it only hurt with my daughter. Not son. Hope this helps :)

I was so nervous to be induced also. I was 41 weeks and 6 days when I was induced, stubborn baby didn’t want to budge. I was 0cm dilated and 0% effaced. 
I had cervidil put in in the morning and nothing happened, about 8 hours later then did a new one and within the hour I started to feel some mild contractions, they sent me home and I laboured are home for a couple more hours, the contractions came on pretty intense and were 2-3 minutes apart I went to the hospital and got checked and I was 2cm dilated, I got some morphine and was sent him again. Morphine was awesome, I got through most of the rest of my labour with just that one shot. My contractions stayed 2-3 minutes apart the entire time. Once it wore off I went back to the hospital and I was 8cm, so I used the laughing gas to get through the rest. I pushed for 50 mins and from the start of my contractions to when he was born, took just shy of 13 hours.
