Question

Would you believe your child if they told you they got sexually assaulted by someone? Family, friend, random person? 
I know a few people who told me there parent didn’t believe them which is stupid. Because if your child is sitting there crying while telling you they got sexually assaulted they obviously aren’t lying

I was sexually abused by my own father for 10 years. I heard him rape my stepmom for 10 years. I told her what he did to me and she laughed in my face. When he broke her jaw I was taken away by the state. I told my foster family what happened to me and they didn't believe me either. The only 1 that did was a therapist. I would rather believe someone that was lying than not believe someone who was telling the truth.

Life has taught me that for whatever reason, people seem to be inclined to not believe you...and unfortunately, often times even when they do believe you they also believe it was your fault.

I will always, always, always believe the victim. In these situations you are 100% guilty until proven innocent in my mind.
