What does your newborn sleep in? Bassinet?

Question

I am super paranoid I am doing damage to my 3 week olds head and neck! He won’t sleep in the bassinet! Screams and screams! I have been letting him sleep in a bouncy chair or boppy pillow ...
Any tips?

I would be more more concerned about your child’s safety. The reason babies aren’t supposed to sleep in those types of “containers” is that they can easily slouch down into a position that prevents them from breathing. These devices should only be used when the parent is awake and able to supervise the child. If your baby is having trouble sleeping on a flat surface, you can try putting a towel under the mattress of the bassinet to prop it up on one side and create a slope. Our pediatrician recommended it not be more than a 15 degree angle,

Try using a heating pad to warm the bassinet first, then remove the heating pad before putting baby in. You can try holding their hand and give them a pacifier

Talk to your pediatrician about acid reflux. It's very common in babies.  My 5 week old screamed her head off when we first brought her home (she sleeps in a crib). 
The doctor put her on probiotics and instructed us to hold her upright for minutes after eating. It worked.

They say not to let them but mine slept on a baby lounge pillow by boppy till he was a month old. He still basis in it at 5.5 weeks

I hate to admit it but baby sleeps in a rock n play type thing. I know they were recalled but he has reflux and I will not keep him in it more than 1-2 months.

We try to have our little girl sleep in the sleeper attachment on the pack n play. However...it usually doesn’t last long. She wants to be held ALL. THE. TIME. Love the snuggles but it’s getting exhausting! We e tried everything...swaddle, sleep sack, sleeper. I’ve put her her down when she’s already asleep, drifting off, wide awake. Rested my hand on her belly, held her hand...but no luck most of the time

Mine was in a pack and play in our room but she is in her crib for the last few weeks. Try putting something under the mattress to incline it rather than proping them up. If you dont already try swaddling
