Washer and dryer in nursery?

So currently our washer and dryer is in the cellar of our house. Problem is it's super damp down there and I have to go outside and open these huge doors to get down there. That's gonna be a bitch in winter. We have thought about possibly moving it into our future nursery. It would be much easier for me in the future since I'm currently pregnant. If it can be done, would you ladies move it inside? The room is spacious but also is carpeted.

I dont think it's a bad idea bc the washer/dryer will essentially provide white noise for the baby.

I would. I’d also build a closet around them to so in the future once baby is older thy can’t get to them.

If you do decide to move it, I’d never run it while baby is in there alone. My mind goes to dryer fires and washing machine leaks.

The only thing that would make me nervous is we've had 2 washers leak 3 times between the two of them. I'd want something down so if that happened, your carpet wouldn't mold or get ruined.

I think about dust and lint circulating on the nursery. Depends how big the nursery is

With good locks on the door up high should be fine. My son just hit two and has had locks mastered for a long time so I'd be worried about him getting into a machine or climbing up on them or even getting into the detergent

I think it depends on how loud the washer/dryer is. Some people's are quite loud and that not be good for the baby. If your washer/dryer is fairly quiet then I don't see a problem with it.
