Would I still get LH surge if I wasn’t ovulating?

We’ve been trying for 6-7 months. And I start to question if I even ovulate. Every month I get LH surge and steady smiley face on clearblue OPK. Is that a guarantee that I ovulate or does it rise even if you’re not? I might sound dumb I know

There is a chance that your body will have an LH surge and attempt to release an egg but will be unsuccessful. Sometimes you can have an anovulatory cycle and some women with pcos will get positives and not actually ovulate. However, chances are if your cycle is normal and you have all the signs of ovulation and a positive test, USUALLY you will ovulate 🙂

not dumb, this forum is for questions and is filled with wonderful ladies that are happy to help! if you get a positive opk you generally ovulate 12-36 hours afterwards. it’s best to have sex even if you get a blinking smiley on an opk for better chances. have sex and have fun! baby dust ❤️
