Bipolar meds?

Not sure if I should continue taking my meds or go off. I went off with my other 3 pregnancies but had extreme postpartum I’m trying to avoid that. Anyone stay on their meds? I’m afraid they will harm the baby.. im waiting for my nurse to call but just figured I can try here to see if anyone else fights with themselves about meds!

With both of my pregnancies I worked very closely with my psychiatrist and was able to stay on certain meds until certain trimesters. Different meds can cause different problems at different times in the pregnancy. I was even able to stay on my Klonopin until the 2nd trimester I believe. Talk to your Dr and make sure that they are very knowledgeable about bipolar meds and pregnancy. A lot of drs will just say get off immediately but if you find a very knowledgeable psychiatrist or Dr then they will tell you what meds to stay on and when you have to get off of them. I did this and both of my kids are okay.

I stayed on my meds I had to switch around one but other then that. All my doctors said it was safer for baby if I stayed on them. 
He’s fine now 15 months

i’m in the same boat. i’ve never been pregnant before though so i kinda want to stop them
