Help: July newborn clothes??

Question

FTM here! What clothes will I need for my newborn in July? It’s very hot where I live but we will mostly be indoors in air conditioning. Do I still get long sleeves, footie pajamas and hats or more short sleeve onesies? I’m not sure how cold newborns get.

Dress them for the temperature they will be in. In a cool house they will get chilly without something a little warmer. My July baby was usually in footed sleepers. If we were going somewhere and we’re to be outside I’d always dress her lightly but brought a blanket.

I pretty much got her a variety of clothes. I'm due July 12th with my first. I bought 4 of the long sleeve sleep n play all in ones, some short sleeve onesies, a 3 pack of long sleeve gowns and socks. It will be cold in the house at night since I run the AC at night. Even with the short sleeve onsies she has I have blankets for her and a swaddle sack. I didn't buy anything fleece though or thick just mostly cotton until it starts getting cold again.

I love in PA I got a mixture of newborn stuff, all long pjs though because we have central air, a few outfits with shirt sleeves and pants, but no long sleeves, socks, and the rest all summer stuff

I’m due 07/19 living in Texas. I got about 5 or 6 of these for him to wear as a newborn and 0-3 months. I’m thinking he can wear socks or a blanket if needed. Got a few footie pj’s & I also have two swaddles for 0-3 months that are light and thin!

My son was born in September and it was hot so I kept him in onesies and sometimes just a diaper.  At night he'd wear long sleeved pjs but they were light not the fleece ones. I expect to do the same for this July baby.

I live in Florida and had my first baby in January. I like to get everything cotton. We got long sleeves because we like to have the ac on at night and I didn’t want bare arms exposed. I do a cotton sleep sack and we do use hats at the beginning. So I only get one pack. I would also get onesie for during the day like if you go outside or have the windows open. Plus during the day you can always use a blanket to make little one warmer. Hope that helps. Congratulations

I have regular sleepers. And few long sleeve onesies, the rest or just normal short sleeve! Because it won’t start to get cold for us till atleast end of October. It’ll get chilly. And I have light blankets for him also! My son was a January baby so I’m in a completely different season here 😅
