Still haven’t started

So today I am 4 days late I have been feeling a little weird and more sensitive to smells I am scared to take a test because last year I was told it would be hard to get pregnant and I don’t want to get my hopes up today I went to the bathroom and had a very light light pink on the paper when I wiped I thought I was gonna start my period but I haven’t can’t anyone offer me some insight and what should I do

Edit: I took a test today it was negative I had cramps and pain by my left ovary and a bright red spotting idk what it is I guess I will make a appointment with my doctor
