period underwear or menstrual cup???

i have a very light period (basically spotting) because of my birth control and i hate using tampons because i feel like it’s a waste and they don’t even seem to work that well (i clot a lot so it seems the tampons don’t catch that as well as pure liquid). also i hate pads because they r uncomfortable and just not my thing (same with pantry liners, despite their small size).

i’m looking for a reliable and environmentally friendly period method. im pretty much deciding between the 2 listed above and i’m not sure which i prefer.
