Should I reach out?

Seeking advice please. I have a baby thats 5 weeks old. My childs father broke it off told me to leave him alone that he'd rather deal with courts. Im 10 years younger than him and he has 3 other kids that he has custody of and 1 that he shares with an ex. They still talk and he cares about the relationship with her man she had other kids with. He hasnt reached out about his new baby to me in a week. Should i try to reach back out? We both have kids and have a history for almost a year. His family knowa and has been around our baby. He even came to birth and supported me . i love him and he said he loved me too. He is my second relationship and second man I've had a baby by. We have worked it out before and i don't want to put him on child support but he wont see his baby or watch when i need to work. I know he will get angry if i do. I love him i wanted it to work out for our family and us. Should i contact him about us or our baby or let it go?
