How do you know when to settle with someone or find someone else???

I don't know exactly how relationships are supposed to be except honesty all round, good sex and 100% communication. How do I know I am with the right person?

I recently broke up a couple weeks back with my boyfriend of 3 years 7 months almost 4 years. It could have been 4 years this May. It has not been perfect during that time. Mostly my fault. I was trying to play games without playing games if that makes sense and I always went back to my ex, my first boyfriend. It's a long story but it got to the stage where he doesn't want to play second- he wants to be first choice or not at all. I get that, I do.

Iso hasn't been easy to say the least. I've been talking to a guy and I just don't feel much towards him other than friendship.

I kind of miss my ex of 3+ years even though we weren't perfect together. I miss his scent. I'm trying to control my feelings though because he doesn't deserve to be someone's second choice or back up, I get that.
