Am I wrong?
I'll try to make this short and sweet.
Me and my husband have been trying to eat better, we agreed from the beginning it would be more of a lifestyle change than a "diet". We have done really good! Eating mostly whole foods, higher proteins low fats and carbs.
We agreed from the beginning that we would still like to enjoying going out here and there, like out to dinner or lunch or something. I purposely went above and beyond watching and tracking everything I ate so we could have one meal out this weekend.
And when I say a meal out, i dont mean we go to Red Robin or completely splurge, I mean choose a healthier option at one of our fave restaurants just to shake things up from our boring everyday foods.
So today we were supposed to go do that, and my husband freaked out and said if I wanna go get fat I can but hes not gonna give into my peer pressure and lose all his progress. This took me by suprise, because we have both been putting in a lot of effort, me more so actually and I've been 100% supportive. I dont know if I can do this type of lifestyle change if we cant still sometimes enjoy going out and eating something new. I feel so... bland.
Right now it's a lot of fish and chicken, salads and other greens. Pretty much everyday. I can do it if I know im working towards a break, today would have been that for me. Idk... I feel silly being upset about it, but this is hard, and now I feel more alone in the process, he is currently cooking himself food and called me an "idiot" because I didnt want chicken AGAIN. I'm glad hes able to do so well and keep so strict but im really struggling. I told him he is selfish because we could be finding something we both would like and have lunch together at least, and he refused. Said im dumb and making things complicated. Maybe I am. Idk.
