Relationship advice ? It's long but idk what to do.

Been together 4 years. I am 27. He is 31. I have no kids.never married. He has had a divorce and two kids with two different women. He has trust issues, abandonment issues from his mother leaving him as a child and moving out of state.

He is not emotional. He's strong, masculine, quiet. He is only tender during intercourse. I know him, and I love him for who he is.

One week, he starts being just overly loving. Gifts. Quality time. Being sweet which is unlike him. I enjoyed every second of it, thinking he was finally letting his trust issues go.

Then...he does a 180 and shuts down completely. Says he doesn't trust me..disappears for an entire month. Doesn't want to see me...but drives by my house seeing if I had company. Doesn't want to see me, yet texts me everyday. So with our past, I'm thinking he is cheating, right ? Wouldn't you? Guilty dog barks right ?

I beg, cry, and plead for a month. He doesn't care.

So one morning, I woke up and let it all go. I seriously let him go and stop contacting. I stop trying.

And now he is constantly asking what are you doing ? Calling me beautiful, inviting me for dinner , showing up at my house. As if he hasn't spent the last month MIA, with me bawling my eyes out.

I can't handle the change. He wants to completely press the reset button on our relationship and forget everything happened .

He doesn't even want to talk about the entire past month.

So when he is texting me now, I feel resentful. I don't text back fast. I say no more than three words. This doesn't make him upset , but it makes him chase me more. But my heart is still hurting from our separation the past month. I question where he was, if he had someone else. I feel gaslighted and crazy. Can't tell him how I feel because I don't want to appear weak.

If anyone knows what I am feeling , please give me advice.
