When did you feel comfortable leaving your toddler with the grandparents for 2-3 days?

Hubby and I planning a little relationship trip for 2-3 days and our little one is almost 1 and I feel horrible even thinking about leaving him. He adores his gparents and I’m not worried at all about his safety etc... I just don’t want him to think we’ve abandoned him or feeling afraid at night when we’re not there.

My son is 3.5 and I still have never been without him for a night...that being said, GO! They won’t think you abandoned them! I’m about to have my second son next month and that night in the hospital will be the first time I’ve been away from him for a night...don’t be like me 😂

I'll tell you when I get there lol. My little one is 3 years old. I don't feel comfortable leaving them there for an hour. Unfortunately we have no other choice but for them to spend 1 night with their grandparents when I give birth in August. But after that Daddy will go home with them overnight and come back to the hospital to see me and the baby the next morning. 
I would say I would feel comfortable with them staying the night there for fun when they're 5 or so. But for now we're only doing it because we genuinely have no other choice.

My daughter was about four months when I let her sleep over night, then over the weeks we built it up to two nights. Once she’s stayed for three. She’s two now.

I left my son with my parents when he was 6 months; my mother in law when he was 4 months. He spent 3 days with my MIL and about a week with my parents. In trust then completely and he had loads of fun! 
I’m not sure about toddler age though because he’s only 9 months.

My LO is almost 2 and a half and he hasn't spent the night with anyone else but my husband and I. I trust my Mom, she watches him while we work during the week, but I just don't feel ready yet. Maybe I'm crazy lol He has always been a great sleeper though so I've never felt the need to.

Our son was 10 months. It was a challenging weekend away but it was good for us. Now (or rather pre pandemic) he stays at my folks’ periodically and has a good time.

I left her with my mom at 18 months while I went most of the way across the country for 4 days because my husband still had to work. She was totally fine.

I left my son at 9 months with my parents. Everything went great, well, except hand, foot, and mouth disease popped up the day we left. But my mom handles everything great and she loved all of the extra baby cuddles (my son isn’t one to cuddle).
