PPI doesn’t seem to be working..

So out of no where I started having acid reflux that got so bad nothing seemed to help relieve it. My doctor prescribed a PPI and I’m on day 5 of taking it with no relief. I’m still having tons heart burn. It gets so bad at night. I called the doctor back and he was confused as to why it is not helping. He said he wanted to treat me for a possible H. Pylori infection but unfortunately due to covid could not run any tests. Wondering if anyone has ever had issues with a PPI not working? Is there anything else that worked for you? I am in desperate need of some relief!! 😓
