Does anyone know anything about Pokémon cards and their worth??

So my husband has a huge collection from childhood of cards that are in perfect condition. 
Someone is interested in buying. I know they can be worth a lot. There are also individual cards we have that are with a lot on their own. We are just at a loss of how much to even ask.

It depends on each card. We bought our son a ser of 500 from a collector company/small business in our town. We paid $100 for the entire 500 count collection. I don't know much about the cards, my husband does and said we paid a fair price. They even came in holders and organized.
