Me and my 3 year old hate bananas, so we don't eat them. My husband is slightly allergic, but occasionally eats them. He will eat them yellow or brown-spotted, but not green at all and not too brown. My 19 month old is the big banana eater in my house. I've given them to him medium green, yellow, or brown spotted. Once they're too brown, I won't let him eat them plain because he makes too big of a mess. But when they're brown, but still fine, I'll use them in recipes like banana bread or toddler pancakes.
