Intense lower belly cramping

FTM here. I'm 28 wks today. Last night at work, (I sat majority of the time) my lower belly hurt SO BAD 😭. Like intense period cramps that got worse with movement, standing, or walking. I told my OB at my last appt about the cramps and she said it could be contractions, they feel different for everybody & didnt seem concerned. Anyone else having these cramps?? Are they contractions??
