When did your BOYS become potty trained?

My son is almost 3 and started potty training early naturally but now he's still having a hard time. Some days are awesome and then other days he could care less about being wet. I keep him in underwear and give him treats when he goes but it's still a struggle. Any tips?

My son wasn’t potty trained until he was almost 4. Before that he had no real interest in it, no matter how much we tried. When he finally started using the potty, it was just peeing at first, it took him a little longer to poop in it. But, not long, because every time he would poop himself I’d give him a shower & he hated showers, he preferred baths at that time, so he stopped pooping himself in order to avoid a shower lol.

He was almost fully potty trained at 2.5 but then we switched daycares and he completely regressed. He was fully potty trained again by 3.

We started 2.5. It’s been 4 months and he’s like 80% got it. We just had a baby and regressed. He keeps peeing in his pants and it’s so frustrating. We tried offering m&ms when he goes and that worked for a bit but now he could care less lol some days are better than others we just try to take him when it looks like he has to go

We started at like 2.5 because he seemed interested and ready but he didn’t fully get it until he was 4. I tried everything and I finally just accepted that it was probably developmental bladder control stuff that I can’t really explain or bribe him into getting. He just has to grow up more and figure it out. 
I kept him in undies during the day and did let him wear night diapers until he was coming on 4 and close to starting preschool. I got a liner for his mattress, let the night diapers run out, got nice underwear for him, and I figured he’s just gotta experience messing himself to notice his own body and learn to do this. I explain to him he shouldn’t drink close to bed time and go to the bathroom before we leave somewhere, accidents happened and I never made it a big deal but simply point out this is why I told you to do that, to prevent an accident. Next time we go to the bathroom before we go out for Pokémon, yes? It’s no fun to stop what we’re doing to change and clean up, and there’s a point that mommy can’t wash soiled underwear. We like our Marvel boxer briefs, we don’t want to throw them away. 
Everything with my son is a very patient process, he takes a long time to learn some things but he does learn. And when he does it’s like a switch, he just suddenly does the thing. I figured out I have to be consistent and not give either way in lightening up or being harsher. Sometimes I make minor adjustments to how I’m guiding him but a lot of the time I’m doing the right thing and I just need to stay the course.

I tried for over a year and my son ended up potty training himself two weeks ago. At night too. He’s had no accidents since either lol.
