SneakPeak or Private Ultrasound?

I'll be 12w tomorrow and debating on getting sneak peak done on Monday or waiting 2 more weeks and getting a private ultrasound to confirm gender. What did you ladies do?

Sneak peek is 100% a waste of money right now. The mailing part is taking forever making the tests not work. I tried it twice. Hopefully getting my money back this next week.

I don’t really understand all of the “sneak peak is a waste of money” comments because if it’s not correct they offer a money back guarantee and if it’s correct then you get exactly what you pay for. It’s pretty accurate if you follow instructions to a T atleast it was with my last pregnancy (only one I did bc I didn’t know it was a thing until then)

We did private ultrasound and honestly it was cheaper than sneak peek (expedited version) and I got to bring someone with me, which I can’t do at the doctors office! I also got a 3D sneak peek and a tonnnnn of ultrasound photos. Way more worth the money.

I had a private ultrasound with my last baby but where I live they are non essential and indefinitely closed. I am trying the sneak peak for fun but am still waiting for my results and it’s been over a week 🤬........ super annoyed!!! 
I plan to get a private ultrasound anyway, if and when they open up again because it’s way more worth the money 
Where I live the NIPT tests is only covered by universal health care if you have a history of high risk pregnancy. They do a genetic screen but it’s not as in detail and since my genetic screen always historically is healthy with my pregnancy I’m not covered to find out gender early. Not worth paying $1000 for the NIPT I can just wait to find out on the ultrasound that’s covered so I don’t have to pay, but I do enjoy paying for a 3D scan to see baby’s face later too🥰 highly recommend!!!!

I did the NIPT test with my doctors office. In my city we have a private scan place that will do a gender scan as early as 14 weeks, but with a scan, sometimes baby doesn’t cooperate or you can’t see it clearly. If that happens some places give you a complimentary scan to try again another day. If you can do the sneak peek in a clinical setting (our local private scan place has a phlebotomist come to the office weekly & customers get their results the next day) it may be worth it.

I’ve heard sneak peak a money back guarantee but I’d rather not wait until it’s born to find it out if it’s right or not. 
In the UK they will tell you at 20 week scan if they can see it. We’ll get a private scan if my partner can come as he really wants to see the baby live.
