As hard as it is my daughter and I formed a bond like you couldn't imagine. She is 10 now and her and i are best friends and talk about everything.

I am still in a relationship with my partner, but we were living on the opposite coast for work. It’s hard always being the one and having the only break be the drive to work, but it was really nice just doing our own thing. There was no coordinating schedules, no figuring out what to do on the weekend that everyone was happy with, no frustration over who would do laundry or clean up after dinner or whatever. It’s nice being back together, but it was also nice having total freedom.
