fixer upper advice!

so me and my partner have been house hunting/in the home buying process. we found a beautiful 4 bedroom bungalow for literally half of our budget. my partner is a builder so he will do most if not all of the renovation. the house needs a lot of work, paint, new flooring in some rooms, and the wood floor needs refinishing and other normal fixer upper things lol. but i was just wondering if anyone has fixed up an old house and if you have any advice, budgeting tools, nice places to buy good quality yet decently priced material, or other tips!😊
