When did you first child start talking?

Hey everyone so I am asking this of just your first child only please. My baby is 15 months and says bye bye but that is it. She can follow a ton of commands/requests and points/gestures but just doesn't seem to care to talk. I know 1st children tend to talk later as their isn't siblings around them and I am not worried about her, she is doing great and very smart I am just curious. I know all kids develop at such different rates but just thought it would be interesting to see what others moms ecperienced. Funny that she was walking/running with no wobbles or falling by 8 months but doesn't seem to care to talk. When did all y'alls 1st babies start talking (more tham a word or 2) and what were they saying

I actually had the opposite experience with my firstborn. She spoke a lot earlier than most babies and earlier than my second. By 15 months she said, mom, dad, bye, dog, bear, cat, yes, no, thanks, please, agua, gamma (grandma), book, and she would say her name. She would repeat other words back to us but those were the ones she would say regularly

Thank you for this post I could have wrote it my self. My daughter did the same physically and is 15 month but only saying mum and dad sometimes in context sometimes I’m not and I am feeling worried about it xxx

My daughter who just turned 3 was able to say dada and banana (nana) at 1 year old. I think she said maybe 6 words at 15 months old. She didn't say mama until 15 months. So she started out kinda slow but by the time she was maybe 18 or 20 months old she spoke in 2 word sentences, and by 2 years old she could string 3 or 4 words together. It seemed like her vocab took off overnight. She learned so much so fast despite having a bit of a slow start. She is extremely verbal now. She can have an entire in depth conversation. I was worried about her I remember, at her 1 year well visit, because she was not really talking much. So dont worry... they do things in their own time. Especially if your child is focusing on motor skills, verbal skills might be on the back burner.

My son was a very active baby. He crawled just shy of 5 months and walked by 9. He was not interested in talking. He had a vocabulary of about 20 words by the time he was 2. He’s a month over 2 now and his vocabulary has exploded. He’s learning new words everyday. He just took a little extra time.

My daughter is 11 months and says 18 words. She's my first. I will add that she says many more words randomly or mimicking us but I don't count them until she says it with meaning. 
She says mama, dada, nana, pup pup, bye, hi, hey, no, yeah, bath, bad, done, up, yay, duck, ball, baby, and my(my pup pup or my ball)

At 15 months my son could just say mummy & daddy. By 19 months he was copying everything we’d say

My son also walked by 9 months but was language delayed. He‘ll be 3 in August and is just really starting to talk now

My daughter could probably say about 20 words around 12/13 months. It wasn’t until she was about 18 months that words literally started spewing out of her mouth on a daily basis and now she’s 2 she repeats everything and you can have full on convos with her 🤯
