Any tips/tricks for 2 babies under 2?

What’s the transition like from 1 to 2 babies? All I ever see online is everyone saying it’s horrible and writing negative experiences, it’s sort of putting a bummer on my excitement. I understand it’s going to be hard, babies ARE hard, it will be double the work, but surely it’s not as bad as everyone makes it out to be? Did you find it easier with two? What are some tips to cope with 2 under 2? I thrive off routine, my 18 month old has been in the same routine since he was 12 weeks old and it works so great.

It isn’t easier, no, at least not in my experience. But it isn’t terrible either. 
Having a supportive partner helps, as does recognizing that your first child is really still a baby themselves, so don’t expect them to grow up too fast ❤️ 
My daughter was 2.5 when her sister, now 4 months old, was born. She loves to “help” me by getting a clean diaper or burp cloth, or throwing the baby’s laundry in the laundry basket, etc. 
I am also really intentional about making the baby wait sometimes and putting the toddler’s needs first so she knows she hasn’t been replaced. 
So far, four months in, it’s mostly good. The first few weeks were really hard, but we have all adjusted well and adore the fact that the girls are close in age and obsessed with each other!
