hey guys, so i’m 15 years old and pretty sure i hve a septate hymen. i can’t use tampons and it’s really annoying but i’m worried about having sex in the future. i’m not having any at the moment but i don’t know when i might, and i don’t want that to be painful or impossible. my mom knows about this problem, but she didn’t tell me to talk to my doctor and i’m never given the alone one on one time so i can’t ask her (my doctor) alone. i know that there’s a fairly simple procedure that can be done by an ob/gyn but i know my mom wouldn’t let me do it because she’d just say don’t use tampons and ur not having sex. I live in california, but i can’t find anything regarding laws based on this procedure. Is there any way i could get it done without her knowing? does anyone know if insurance covers it? i’m sorry if this is a weird question haha
