Short term disability
Ok we live in the US... I do not qualify for FMLA because of only starting in February at my job. My boss told me I qualify for short term disability though which is 66% pay for 6 weeks. I plan on taking that AND 6 week additional at no pay. There's no way in hell, after being a SAHM with my first, that I will leave an EBF baby at 6 weeks (or my husband with a toddler and newborn 😜)
My question is... how many of your employers were cool about taking longer than the paid max, and also.. at how many weeks did you/should you apply for short term?
