App constantly freezing

This app will NOT stop freezing. When I get a notification I have to wait 1-2 MINUTES before I can do anything. If I select a notification and then go back to notifications I have to wait ANOTHER 1-2 minutes for it to unfreeze. If I get a notification on my phone the app freezes. This has been happening for weeks. I thought it was the previous update and it would get resolved with the next one. Well the next update came and went and it’s even worse. It makes me not want to use it anymore.

This is happening EVERY SINGLE TIME I use the app, without fail. It takes me 30 minutes to get through 5 notifications.
