When to go to er?

And before you start judging or say call the doctor, I can’t. We just moved states and haven’t established a pediatrician yet and our insurance hasn’t gone through either. 
My 2 and half year old woke up throwing up at 2:30 this morning. She hasn’t hardly ate or drank anything all day. She has slept most of the day and she has a low grade fever. I’ve rotating Tylenol and Motrin but I don’t it’s really helped. Do I just wait it out and see if it’s just a 24 bug or take her in since she hasn’t eaten or drank anything?

ER nurse here: biggest concern for kiddos is dehydration. If she doesn’t want to drink, try to offer popsicles. Avoid juice, unless that’s all you can get her to drink. If she starts to cry without tears or doesn’t have a wet diaper for over 6 hours, take her in.

I still called my old doctor before I had established a relationship with a new provider. The nurses line was a great resource!
You need to offer hydration at the very least, and count diapers. I’m sure there’s a resource online about diaper counts for that age.

Try giving pedialyte. If she doesn’t have wet diapers within six hours then go.

I always get told by our pediatrician that if it persists over 24hrs to then go in. Unfortunately if you go in now they may just tell you to wait it out. Keep her hydrated as much as you can and watch her fever. I've also been told if they don't eat, it's OK, as long as she's drinking fluids.

When she cry's does she produce any tears at all and is she still producing wet diapers
