To keep our c section date to ourselves? We just don't want people blowing our phones up a d also we want to keep it as a moment between my husband and I. We want her to be a surprise when we announce she here. Also my Mil told everyone about my sil baby before she could and announced it on social media before she could. Idk am I wrong for wanting to share this just me and him and surprising everyone? My husband isn't close with his family. My whole family gets it when I told them I guess I'm just not looking forward to feeling bad again by some of his family..

I’m keeping that to ourselves as well. We don’t have an induction or c section scheduled but to avoid phones blowing up and people bombarding our house when we get home we will tell people once we feel safe to have visitors

If you don’t want to then don’t. I liked sharing my news and not someone else sharing it. So if that’s the way to stop your mother in law. Well then keep the date a secret.

I had a scheduled induction and only told my mom because I wanted her there. No one seemed to care once they got to meet the baby. I think its totally fine to keep it to yourself.

I would share the date that way the people I care about aren't shocked. plus... What if something were to go wrong. But I'd let everybody know our phones will be off and they will receive updates as we see fit.
That's what we're planning, too (induction tho) 
cause last time... My dad was calling me about a debt collector getting ahold of him  (we have the same name and middle initial) WHILE I WAS IN LABOR. it ended up being really sweet. My dad paid it off for me but I was like wtf guys. A little busy. 🙄😂

It sounds a little icy to me. It's one thing if you go into labor and there's understandably spontaneity and chaos, but when a c section is obviously planned and you don't even tell your parents....I can't imagine one of my children not telling me this until after the fact. It's obviously hidden information. Is it really worth possible years of hurt feelings vs setting clear boundaries to not announce until you're ready?
