Induced for VBAC?

Question

Will your doctor allow you to be induced for a VBAC? My OB mentioned that some women planning for VBAC will go ahead and schedule a c-section for sometime around their due date in the event that she does not go into labor before then. I didn't even think to ask if scheduling an induction was an option in the event I don't go into labor by my due date. 
I'm having the hardest time deciding what to do for this baby. I didnt get to experience labor at all with my first, and I really want to, but I can't VBAC at my preferred hospital due to their policy. 😩

I’m planning vbac this summer. My doc will induce if I need to or want to I guess but he’ll also let me go past my due date up to 42+6 weeks as long as baby is doing okay. 
I never got any labor last time either, I want to experience that. Plus my babies will only be 16.5 months apart, I can’t imagine not being able to pick up my daughter for a few weeks after having another csection

I had 1 csection in 2014 (5 vaginals before that..yes this makes 10 all together) and had vaginal births after in 2016...2017...2018...and hoping for July 2020. No problems and was induced with them all with pitocin or cervical pill.

I went 12 days over with my first and that resulted on an emergency c-section. I told my consultant I want to try VBAC but dont want to have to go 12 days over she said she will induce on or around due date so I dont go over.

I’m having a VBAC, not induced, no cesarean scheduled at all. No reason to. There is actually an increase in complications having a repeat c section or induction.

I don’t have a correct answer but studies do show that your chance of having a c section is increased a good bit by getting induced.

Mine was very resistant to it. But I begged. He finally agreed only because it was my 4th baby, first 2 were successful inductions, but only very low dose pitocin  (no cervidil) and I had to have a uterine monitor, which meant I needed an epidural from the get-go. But I had preeclampsia and baby had to come out, so waiting longer wasn't an option.  Unfortunately I failed to progress and ended up in another c section.

I attempted a VBAC with my 2yr old. I didn’t wanna go past 40 weeks though so we went ahead and scheduled my repeat csection for 39 weeks. If I went into labor naturally before my csection I would have had a VBAC, but I didn’t go into labor naturally. 
My doctor would not induce at all for a VBAC. She said the risks of uterine rupture were too great. Also, my pregnancies were 8yrs apart. So there was no doubt I was completely healed.

I am going for a VBAC in August. Doc said I can't be induced the same way I was last time. I don't know if that means all the medications or just cytotec. I know cytotec is out, though. I had to be induced because my water broke and labor didn't start. Pushed for 2 hrs and baby wasn't descending. Opted for the C-section. I am just crossing my fingers I go into labor on my own and my water breaks when I'm pushing.Vbac is totally worth trying for, in my opinion.

I’m tempting to vabc as well I’m due ending of July and my doctor isn’t inducing me he wants me to go into labor on my own. But if I don’t go into labor on my own by my due date I may ask him to induced me for a planned c-section.
