Best convertible car seat?

Question

I think Macy is getting uncomfortable in her infant seat, so want to get a convertible for longer drives. We still use her infant seat to keep her covered when we have to shop because of COVID but have been driving about an hour to look at new houses, then an hour back and she gets so fussy towards the end. 
Any moms who have transitioned have any recommendations?

Chicco NextFit. We just installed ours today and it was so easy! It tightened up basically with no effort. We have Diono seats for our older 2 and they are a PITA to install and change harness strap heights on and I am starting to hate them. I told my husband that we are keeping our infant seat to wait for a car seat trade in event and are replacing seats! Whatever you get, make sure it has no thread harness so you don’t have to uninstall the seat to change harness straps (once it’s forward facing).

I suggest finding a car seat tech in your country/state/province who can suggest the best seat for your budget, vehicle, and baby’s size. Not every seat works in every vehicle.

We just transitioned to the Graco extend2 fit this week. I got it on major sale on amazon for $151 and it was delivered the next day. So far we love the seat! Lots more leg room

There are so many great car seats out there, it’s so overwhelming. We chose the Diono Rainier car seat when our first was about six months old and our second babe got hers when she was four months. We absolutely love them. They’re made of steel so they’re heavier than most, but in our opinion worth it. They’re easy to install, clean and love that we can even use them as booster seats when they’re older.
